Snowdrop Walk

1 Feb - 1 Mar, Thur - Sun 10-3pm

Come and see one of the most spectacular displays of Snowdrops in the North.  A beautiful end of Winter walk for the whole family with a wonderfully diverse landscape and over 70 varieties of Snowdrops.  There are also a variety of sculptured woodland animals to discover along the way.

Adults £8, Children £3, Family Ticket £20 (Up to 2 adults & 3 chlldren)
Under 5's free.  Tickets can be bought online or on the gate.

RHS & HHA cards are not vaild for the Snowdrop Walk
Please note due to the undulating nature of the path which is on bark the walk is not suitable for wheelchairs but can be negotiated with a mobility scooter.


Summer Season 1 April - 30 Sep 11-4pm (Weds & BH Mons)
House & Garden: Adults: £15 /Children 5-15 £5 /Under 5's free

Guided tours of the house take place at 12 noon, 1pm & 2pm.  Tickets can be booked online or upon entry in the courtyard kitchen.
Garden Only:
 Adults £8/Children 5-15 £3/Under 5's free.
Please note that due to the presence of water at The Pool children must always be supervised in and around these areas.
Pre-booked tickets available online.

RHS (Free entry to gardens only) /HHA Members Free* (except special events i.e Specialist Plant Fair) are not required to book a ticket but please show card upon entry.

Well behaved dogs on short leads are most welcome.  

Access for Wheelchairs:  Disabled parking is situated ouside the hall.  As some of the paths are steep and on bark it is difficult to negotiate with a wheelchair.  However some mobility scooters or buggies with larger wheels seem to be able to cope with this terrain.  Please call if you need further information.
